Production Technicians Wanted!
As a Production Technician at Klassic Sound and Stage, you’ll be part of the crew responsible for turning an empty event site into a fully functioning production environment.
Production Technicians provide hands-on support throughout the setup, operation, and removal of live events. The work may include assembling stages and truss, assisting with rigging, deploying barricade, running cable, placing equipment, loading trucks, and supporting our audio, lighting, and video teams.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, physically capable, and comfortable working as part of a fast-moving crew. Prior live event or AV experience is valuable, but we also welcome motivated candidates who are ready to learn and build a career in production.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and strike of stages, truss structures, barricade, audio systems, lighting equipment, LED walls, and other production elements.
- Load and unload trucks, organize equipment, and move production cases safely and efficiently.
- Assemble staging, truss, hardware, and related structures according to company procedures and manufacturer requirements.
- Assist qualified riggers with ground rigging, hoists, structural components, and overhead equipment based on training and assigned responsibilities.
- Run, secure, label, and remove audio, lighting, video, power, and data cabling.
- Support system technicians and crew leaders throughout event deployment and removal.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas on job sites and in the warehouse.
- Follow instructions, established production sequences, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Communicate clearly with crew leaders and team members throughout each assignment.
- Remain productive and professional during long shifts, changing conditions, and time-sensitive event schedules.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A strong work ethic and a dependable, team-oriented attitude.
- An interest in live events, staging, rigging, audio, lighting, video, or technical production.
- The ability to follow instructions carefully and complete physical tasks safely.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn new equipment, systems, and production methods.
- The ability to work efficiently without sacrificing safety or attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular schedules.
- The ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- The ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift or carry production equipment throughout extended shifts.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to report to job sites on time.
Previous experience in live event production, construction, theatrical production, warehousing, or another hands-on technical environment is preferred but not required. Rigging certifications, lift certifications, commercial driving experience, and familiarity with professional AV equipment are also valuable.
